If you launch Black Myth: Wukong and find everything in Chinese, don't panic—this is a common bug, not a permanent lock. The game actually supports a wide range of text languages (English, French, German, Korean, Japanese, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish, Polish, Italian, and two Chinese variants), and two spoken languages (Mandarin and English). Once you know the menu positions by heart, switching back to English takes only a minute.
Normally, you can change spoken and text language from the Settings > Language menu, which has separate dropdowns for "Text" and "Speech" plus a subtitle toggle. But because the bug forces the game to start in Chinese on first launch, you need a workaround to reach those settings.
Start the game and click through the initial menus blindly until the title sequence plays. Let the opening cutscenes finish, then press Escape to open the in-game settings. Scroll all the way to the bottom of that list and select the last option. Press Enter twice—this drops you back to the title screen. (You cannot change text language while actively in-game; you must return here.)
At the title screen, press any button to bring up the main menu. Scroll down and choose the second-to-last option (it leads to language settings). On the next screen, look for a submenu marked with a small text icon—that's the fifth item. Open it, select the first option, then scroll to 'English' and confirm. You can also set the spoken language to English here if you prefer. All subsequent text will display in English, and you can now play without needing to guess menus.
That's all there is to it. With the language fixed, you're ready to explore Keeper's Shrines and face the first bosses without translation hurdles.
Black Myth: Wukong immerses players in a vibrant world inspired by Chinese mythology, offering challenging third-person action RPG gameplay.
Combat is intense and requires skillful use of spells and abilities, but some Steam reviewers note the experience can feel repetitive due to its linear design and frequent invisible barriers.
The game's cinematic presentation and mythic atmosphere are widely praised, yet issues with traversal and reliance on one primary weapon have drawn criticism.
Despite these drawbacks, Black Myth: Wukong is lauded for its stunning visuals and rewarding boss battles, making it a memorable adventure for fans of the genre.

This key is used to download, install, and play the acclaimed action RPG directly on your PC.
It provides a permanent license linked to your Steam account, bypassing the need for physical media.
